I suppose it depends on what you mean by accuracy: Lat/lon to physical
location, address to physical location, ??? I didn't find any statement
of map accuracy on Microsoft's MapPoint site, but anything there is
Microsoft's work. Did you see info on Microsoft.com or Mp2kmag.com?



The largest source of error that I have found has been deviation between
found address position and actual position. I think most of this can be
attributed to inaccuracy of the underlying street segments. For example
the short street I live on actually has 4 houses on my side. The
addresses range from 3035 to 3051, but addresses will be found on the
segment from 3031 to 3099. Therefore the distance between where 3051 is
and where it is found on the map due to the interpolation between 3031
and 3099 is significant for some purposes. For most uses, however, the
difference is not important.
