The price is the same for the full version, but there is no 'Upgrade price' (was $230) for MapPoint 2006 like there was for MapPoint 2004.

You might get a trial copy of MapPoint 2006 first so you can check it out.

Also, the GPS / navigation features in MapPoint 2006 that were added basically bring it up to par with Streets & Trips 2006 if you have a copy of that you can check it out to get an idea of what MP06 has.
