I'm in Australia and have had a GPS for a while. Here's the problem. I have a scientific map and need to plot it into my GPS but the map doesn't make sense.

MY GPS is set to WSG84 hddd mm.mmm

The map I have reads:

Universal Traverse Mercator Zone 56, Datum WSG84

On the map itself, the coordines are:

LEFT OF MAP between 6835000 and 6837000
TOP OF MAP between 561000 and 563000

What does this mean if translated to a South - East WSG84, hddd mm.mmm format?
