Re: How Do You Use MapPoint?

I use it to map voters, campaign volunteers and polling places.
  • Pushpins are coded to reflect voting history or other demographics.
  • Efficient routes can be given to volunteers who drive to pick up voters on Election Day or deliver yard signs to supporters.
  • Strategies can be influenced by the strengths and weaknesses identified in an accessible way MapPoint does so well.
  • Past election results can be charted and otherwise plotted to show ideal target areas for a new campaign.
  • Locating supporters who live near major intersections to hit them up for a request to let us install a large campaign fence sign.
  • Seeing where there is a good area for voter registration drives based on current population and registered voters plus past voting performance (party preference).
