That's odd.. I can't explain and haven't seen the behaviour. Just doing a copy/paste, I would imagine those are embedded, not simple images (see an article on embedding in Word here: http://www.mp2kmag.com/articles.asp?...edding.in.word ).

What you might want to do to make sure you are working with simple images is construct screenshots (jpg, gif, or bmp) and then insert those into Powerpoint. (see an article on making screenshots here: http://www.mp2kmag.com/articles.asp?ArticleID=54 ).
