I have been unable, so far, to resolve this problem, but I have found a conversion formula that could be used if a series of conventional lats + longs were to be input to a table/spreadsheet, the formulae could be used to convert these to digital that could then be transferred to Mappoint.

For example, a Pushpin 53d15m00s North 001d30m00e could be input to a table or database, but then converted to 53.250000N001.5000E. My guess is that Mappoint could be made to look at the digital version of the data in a database and use this as the basis for plotting the points of interest.
