I understand Aussoft's problem. There seems to be a nice little quirk wherein you can have either the line visibility set to false OR the fill visibility, but not both. So, if you put a shape other than a line on the map, you can't hide it. Basically you have to programatically add and remove the shapes instead of making them visible/invisible.

This one was also brought up with textboxes. Still waiting to see if there's a better solution.
