Auto Update?

I have mappoint 2002 pulling from an excel file which pulls from sql

I want the map to "update linked record" automatically without having to use the menu pulldown, say every 5-15 minutes?

Not possible with the stand-alone executable if that is what you mean. Easy to do programatically, and also probably with an add-in, but I never wrote an add-in (maybe it is about time :)
