I'm new to Mappoint and really need some help.

The application I need to create needs to have a mappoint map on a webpage where the location and status of the pushpins is updated based on data which is being updated at regular intervals in a linked database.

Can anyone tell me how I can do this, eg how can I have automatic updating of the mapped data from the database appearing in real time on a webpage
