I apologize in advance if this question is too rudimentary, but thank you to anyone who can help. Our agency serves low-income clients in Cook County, Illinois. I want to prepare a shaded area map of our client population broken out by zip code. I was able to import data from our SQL server into MapPoint. Every client has a unique identifier, a case number. There are about 39,000 records and some 700 ones with invalid or no zip code. Can I prepare what I need with this software? What about breakdowns by race or income level? We have those fields in the database, too.

(P.S. I worked through the tutorial before I sent this! However I did not buy MapPoint for Dummies which seems to have been poorly received. Any other recommendations for learning would be appreciated. Thanks)
