We don't have a plan to do this at the moment, and neither does Microsoft. Most of the developers frequenting MP2K Magazine work with the ActiveX Control, but many of them also write COM Add-ins for the MapPoint application. Since the basics of programming MapPoint are the same for the application and the ActiveX Control, we'd like to keep these discussions in the same place.
