The North American version of MapPoint 2002 includes a "Construction Update" feature. This is a web-based update of road contruction and closure data. This feature is also available in Streets & Trips 2002, MapPoint's sister product focused on trip planning. Streets & Trips is probably more direct competition for Tripmaker, especially in terms of price (MapPoint is $200+, Streets & Trips is $30-40).
