I use Mappoint for designing regional wireless communications networks. It gives me a first cut look at RF propagation for locating towers before I use more complex propagation models that include detailed terrain features. The resulting output of Map point, using the pushpin tool, provides a Lat Lon input to the propagation tools where I fine tune the results.
