The majority of posts do have replies.
Some suggestions -
1. if you question is difficult or long to read, naturally it will be less likely to get a taker to offer an answer. In that case, try phrasing more succinctly or consider offering to hire someone to help you figure out the answer. There is no more likely forum where you will meet up with a talented MapPoint programmer willing to be paid to accomplish a task for you.
2. Search. The forum's past posts and replies are an extremely rich knowledge base. Use both the search function at the top and the Google search box at the bottom.
3. Finally, to make the forum a successful experience for everyone including yourself, register and start answering other people questions. Later, when people start to recognize your contributions to the board, when you post a question they will be more likely to take a stab at answering your question.
The lesson is, there is no free lunch. To make the forum thrive, you need to consider investing some of yourself into it. Actually you will find that it is a lot of fun!
