But since I am using VC++ 2008 and the instructions are in older version, there are some inconsistencies. For instance, when it says right click on the control and choose class wizard, I need to right click and choose Add Variable instead. Then I filled in the name of the variable and the type of the variable is already defaulted as CControl1 and not CMappointCtrl. And the instructions say that I will be prompted with a dialogue asking to check the classes to be generated, but I did not see such dialogue.

After adding, I get a CControl1 m_map variable. I can call m_map.NewMap(..) to create a new map. But I can not call m_map.getActiveMap()...etc. So the question is how do I use the Mappoint API (findAddressResults, Waypoints, route ....) if I only have a CControl1 variable?
I never used C++ with Mappoint, but there are some articles on this forum on how to use it.

I don't think you can drag it onto a web page because it is not meant to generate HTML code needed for browsers.
