    addShape problem

I'm programming an activex mappoint control in visual C/MFC... where i show the route of a truck.
I'm using addshape to show the origin and destination of the truck as a rectangle with text.... and pushpins (points) to show the journey of the truck.

The problem is that i must do a goTo() before the addshape() for 2 reasons:

1.- if i'm adding the shape in a location out of the current limits of the shown map it's not painted

2.- if i paint the shape before i paint all the points and zoom all the zone it works but i lost precision and then the points get out of the shape.

    Some ideas, thanks.
    (sorry for my english)

I'm sorry, but I don't understand your problem, it sounds as if things are working for you, but you want them to work differently, is that correct?

What is it that you want Mappoint to do?

the problem is that the method goTo before the addshape generates a lot of zooms (1xlocation and 1 to show a general view) and users don't like it.

and then if i paint the shapes after the general zoom to see all the route i lost precision and the stops at origin and destination gets out of the shape.

So the first solution will be better if i can avoid the zooms,
and the second if i can do it with precision.
although first solution works perfectly but the zooms.

can you manually change the zoom, that is, use the Altitude property? Or if you just want the zoom to automatically go to your entire data set, you could try to use ZoomTo to zoom in on the entire dataset.

    Hope that helps
