| Any MapServer users out there? I'm currently working on it for a pro bono project involving Costa Rican rainforest restoration. The project is with the University of Dallas. The restoration project in question is only a year old. The plan is to return each year and to measure biodiversity, etc. I'm mapping the results, and I also intend to make some panoramic photos when we go over at the end of May. I'll post some links when I have something to show. At the moment I only have some US data (from the US Gov) working. Next job is to get some Costa Rican base maps up and running. Richard

I used to subscribe to their discussion list and had one old box set up with it, but never ended up doing anything with it.. It looks like they have a Plone-Powered  community site. Community -- UMN MapServer There are links to the mailing lists and IRC chat channel. Anyway, look forward to hearing more about your project! Eric

Yes I'm on their listserver. I'm considering using Virtual Earth as a wider basemap to put the whole thing in context. Unfortunately their coverage of the product area is very poor resolution. The maps would be combined with OpenLayers. Richard
