I need to put 20-30 PLACES on a ROUTE and have it optimize. Each place has a RANGE of possible ARRIVE times though, and not just one exact appointment time. Each PLACE will have a set, exact length of STOP time. The goal is to have MapPoint optimize a route that takes into account the ranges of arrive times for each PLACE and the stop time, and the shortest distance between them, and come up with the best possible route. I will be programatically adding PLACES to the route and re-optimizing until I get an 8-hour day for an employee.

I can handle everything except for the RANGE of arrive times. Anybody work with this type of thing?

The only solution I know of, is to use a multi-route optimization tool such as TourSolver. This will do a lot more - a lot more parameters and handle multiple routes.
