arrows disappear after zoom out

I'm using MP 2004 Europe.
-zoom in to ~ 100km x 100km
-draw an arrow, a line, a circle, a freeform and a rectangle
-click the zoom-out-button two times (sometimes one time is enough)
The arrow disappears, all other shapes stay visible. Does anybody know why and maybe how to avoid this behavier?

greetings
Gerhard

Hi,

I just tryed it programatically, and yes the arrow dissapear when it is so small that it should almost not be visible, but when zooming back in it appears again. Looks normal behaviour to me.

Could be that the behaviour is different if you draw an arrow manual. Dont think there is any solution for it.

Hi,

This may help.
Instead of clicking on the zoom out button, try clicking on the zoom slider button itself then use the left or right keyboard arrows to zoom in or out at much smaller progressions.

Regards
Stephen

Hi,

Yes and reading your reply, I have to tell that I have zoomed in / out with my own test program, not with mappoint.exe. So behaviour could be a little different for this also.

Hi,

I tried the arrows for showing the direction of a tracking process. Because of this arrow-zoom-behavier I'm now using PushPins with custom symbols.

Thanks to all of you...

Gerhard
