I am using the mappoint 2002 webservice in ASP.NET.

I currently have a map that I can click on to zoom in on a location. I would like to add the ability to have mouse over tooltips on the map to give extra information about a location.

These two requirements appear to be at odds with each other. In order to have the click to zoom function I need to use an imagebutton control in order to be able to capture the XY coordinates of the click event. In order to have the tooltips I need to use the image control in order to be able to access the image map functionality. One function appears to require me to use the imagebutton control (capture XY coordinates from click event) and the other function requires me to use the image control (hotspots use am image map).

Has anyone been able to have both these functions coexist?
