Attach UK postcodes to my dataset

Hello All:

Im currently evaluating Mappoint, waiting for dev account for the Web service to activate and currently using trial version of MapPoint 2004, Could someone answer this. I have imported a data set and I want to attach a UK postcode to each of my locations then export the whole lot back out as a .csv file or something, Is this possible? for example, I want to say: here are a bunch of locations can I have a Uk postcode for all of them at once?

Appreciate any help from anyone.

Thanks

I do not understeand your question completely, but as far as I understeand is what you ask perfecly easy possible if you do it with your own program using mappoint ActiveX interface. Dont know if it is possible using Mappoint.exe

As far as i'm aware its not possible to extract the full postcode from Mappoint, just the postcode Area, District, Sector. I might be wrong though.

Hi,

What do you mean by "full postcode" ? I know in some countries a postcode is a reference to a complete address, is that what you mean ?

by full postcode im refering to, for example, tn26 0jk as opposed to postcode area (tn), district (tn26), sector (tn26 0). I'm assuming the poster is refering to the full postcode which I believe (although I may be wrong) cant be extracted from mappoint
