BAd addresses

I mapped about 240 stores (using import data wizard) but 34 came up in the bad address screen. I updated about 6 of them, so next time I only had 28 problems. I looked them up on line, and most had good addresses.

What could be causing these discrepancies? Do you recommend adding push pins for these 28 manually?

My MP for Dummies book uses Office 2000 as its example for programming map Point. Office 2003 seems different. I'm using Map POint 2006 - can I open up a VBA editor directly from Map POint or do I have to open it in Excel/Access? If the latter, what do I do once I'm in there to have the code act on a map?

thank you,

Gary Willick

No Mappoint has no VBA editor, so you have to open it in Excep/Access. There are some articles on this forum describing where to start.

Re: BAd addresses

Wilfred - Thanks for the reply. It will be a while before I actually start with code, but I will look up those articles.

I didn't see a response to the part about bad addresses. I checked the web for the "bad" stores and the addresses were the same as in my data file. Should I just add pushpins for them manually?

Gary

Hi,

Yes you can add them manually. I did not very good understeand your furst question, but possible there can be some addresses that MapPoint does not recognize I suppose.
