    We have just released the Caliper Maptitude port of our MPCluster analysis product.

    The original MapPoint version used the K-Means algorithm, but the new Maptitude version also adds the option of using a Hierarchical algorithm. In contrast to the stochastic K-Means algorithm (ie. contains a random component), the Hierarchical algorithm is deterministic. This means the runs are full reproducible: multiple runs with identical data and settings will result in identical results.

    v1.1 of MileCharter for Maptitude has just been released.

    v1.1 is a free upgrade for existing users of MileCharter for Maptitude and can be downloaded from http://www.milecharter.com

    v1.1 adds the ability to limit the input data layers to just user layers, and does a better job of handling certain unexpected scenarios such as missing/incorrect Street layers.

  3. MPCluster for Maptitude: Available for beta testing!

    Our MPCluster analysis add-in for Microsoft MapPoint has been ported to Caliper's Maptitude GIS system, and is available for beta testing. We are currently planning to have the first full release available in February.

    The Maptitude version of MPCluster also adds a new algorithm: Hierarchical Clustering, in addition to the original K-Means. Hierarchical clustering is deterministic and should result in more reliable clusters.

    We have just released "MileCharter for Maptitude" - a version of our popular MPMilecharter add-in for Caliper's Maptitude GIS product.

    MileCharter batch calculates route distances, travel times, and cost estimates between two groups of data points. For example, it can calculate the driving distances from all of your customers to all of your sales offices.

  5. MPExporter: New Maptitude & Excel export options ready for beta testing

    The new version of MPExporter (v1.2) is pretty much ready for beta testing if anyone is interested.

    MPExporter is designed to "export all your accessible data out of MapPoint". The released version already supports KML, HTML (Google Maps/Bing Maps), and SVG. The new version adds Excel (datasets only) and Maptitude.

    MPExporter can export all data map types (pie charts, bar charts) to a matching plot type in Maptitude.(*)
