Brand new and need help please

Hi, I am brand new to MapPoint Europe 2004 and urgently need to get up to speed to be able to map sales rep territories and customer locations in the UK. Could anyone advise me of any postings, threads, website pages or documents that will help me do this most efficiently.

Hoping someone can help. Many thanks.

Jonathon

It is probably best to just browse the articles here, although watch out that many of them are programming articles which probably go into things that don't interest you.

If a book is acceptable then the Dummies book will do what you are after.

Yes, the Dummies book refers to MapPoint 2002, but very little functionality has changed - ie. the book works almost as well with 2004.
The main changes between the two versions are updated roads, new or updated demographic data, bug fixes, and a couple of minor changes for programmers.

I recommend MapPoint for Dummies, too.

I recommend MapPoint for Dummies, too. It's only $11.00 (which includes shipping) here. If you buy it in a store, then the cost is retail $29.99.

2006 will be out in a month, so I would just become familiar with the basics. It would take a while to walk through the Dummies book, so by that time the new version will be out and you'll have a feel for whether or not MapPoint fits your goals.

Virtual Earth is another thing to keep an eye on...a lot of big plans for Virtual Earth.

I would start with MapPoint with Dummies.
