Here's a new tool similar to the one for calculating the distance between zip codes, except this one calculates both the straight line distance and the driving or route distance between lat/lon coordinates.

Note that the Road distance returned will be either km or miles depending on your current map units setting in MapPoint. The straight line distance is always miles, but you could do an easy conversion if you need km.
