Microsoft's WTL Off to Open Source

From InternetNews: "The software giant announced plans to release the Windows Template Library (WTL) project on SourceForge under an externally created open-source license. The idea is to encourage a larger pool of developers to tinker with the code and improve the bug-finding process."

I haven't done it myself. Have a look at the MapPoint documentation, and there are details about the object names being slightly different, how to select N.America vs Europe, etc.

If you're using MFC, then you should be able to 'load' the MapPointControl.ocx file in the way Microsoft intended.
You'll need to read up on OCX and ActiveX.
I suspect Google and the MSDN will be very useful for this aspect!
You may need to adapt Excel or Word examples to MapPoint, but this is how I got a lot of the attached article to work.
