Can I see a list of all pushpins?

I imported 1670 locations into MP 2010. All the pushpins are red as I selected. I would like to change the colors of the pushpins based on location. The file I imported has the locations defined.

What I am really looking for is, is there a way to show a list of all the locataions? I am a former Mapsource user and you could do it in that program.

Thanks

Not really, you can export to Excel, but that is not tied back to MapPoint. To get the same functionality as what you are talking about with MapSource, you might have to do some custom application development.

When you say the file has the locations defined, how many locations are there? Do you mean you have some different categories? or you want to assign the pushpin by city?

Re: Can I see a list of all pushpins?

Of the 1670 locations (pushpins) there are about 150 different groups I would like to identify them by. Right now those groups are labeled by number.

How do you have them labeled by number? With the Pushpin symbol or the balloon? Can you post a screenshot?

Re: Can I see a list of all pushpins?

In the Excel file that I imported there is a column that breaks them down into groups of 2,3,4 ETC.

Do you say you have them labeled on the map? Or they are all the same?

They are all the same on my map and I would like to have different colors based on the groups.

Re: Can I see a list of all pushpins?

I think you could do an Excel macro to import all of them and vary the Pushpin symbol based on your category field.

Take a look at Welcome to Pushpin City! — Provider of MapPoint Pushpin Symbol Sets and Tools for Creating and Managing Custom Pushpin Symbols. Would these pushpins work for your project?
