Can I use MapPoint to generate map coordinates on a book map

Hi guys,

Here is my problem.
We're working on a dispatch system and the dirvers who will be dispatched will be using manual maps to find the location where they're being dispatched to.

We plan to use MapPoint to find the location but I do not know how I may be able to generate a map coordinate for a paper map (an ADC map).

Giving the dispatchers the ability to see the actual map is important, but it's not nearly as important as giving the drivers the map coordinates for the location they're being dispatched.

What I basically want to do is feed MapPoint the address and I want it to give me the map coordinates for the location.

If you know how to do this, please help.
Thanks

What format of coordinates are you looking for ? Give me a sample coordinate.

Are you programming in VB?

Regular Map Coordinates

I just found a product that pretty much explains what we're trying to do as far as the map coordinates are concerned.

http://www.adcmaps.com/cd_examples.htm

On screenshot #5, on the page above, an ADC Atlas page and grid 43-J2 is generated with the street address of the location taken as an input.

Please note: This product is only availabe for the east coast of the US. Our product is intended to be used all over the US, so we're trying to do everything from scratch ourselves so as to include every state. [That, of course, means we will have to use not just ADC Atlas, but several others as well.]

If you have any ideas please help.
Thanks

Here is a quote from their faq page

If you want the full use of ADC Maps on CD, then it is recommended that you have ArcView GIS. This allows you to not only look up features and addresses, but will also allow you to add multiple layers of data and images (i.e. Aerial Photography, graphics, text, etc.).

Sounds like ArcView might be worth looking into in this case?
