Hi I would like to buy and try out the evaluation version ... but I do not have the time to wait for delivery .... The business makes the decision, you know

we are considering bying MapPoint to do the following.

We want to visualise the route 8 people follow during 50+ days (7500 km)
we get location information every 30 minutes for 8 people.

1.can we show a map with the locations of these 8 people?
2.can we show the trajectory of the 8 people?
3.can we show this in 8 different colours?
4.can we add the name?
5.can we add 8 different icons?
6.can we automate the import of the new data every 30 minutes?

Hi Koen,

I've personally build a system that prerforms the tasks that you name, except for calculating the trajectory. Although that too should be possible, I'm not sure about the results when using 30 minute intervals for your data. Your GPS system should off course provide a way to get to the GPS data in an automated way.

Note that for MP2003, the system you describe would require 8 licenses. You might want to get your hands on a 2002 version while you can

Come to think of it,
calculating the trajectory won't be possible (at least my experience using MP2002 Europe) when your 8 people will also use highways, since MP does not accept waypoints on highways.

We ordered the demo yesterday afternoon and it arrived in the UK (from Canada) late this morning. that's pretty fast.
