Can MapPoint webservice do this?

I am interested in developing a web based application that will need to do
the followning:

1.) Specify the boundaries of various zones in a particular region.
These regions must be defined by streets or intersections within the region.
2.) Display a map of the region and show the different zones, each represented by a different color.
3.) Allow a user to type in an address through the user-interface of the application, and a push-pin, star, or any other indicator appears on the
map of the region allowing the user to know which zone the address is located within.

Will MapPoint Web Service be able to do this? If not, do you have any
suggestions?

Thanks

Pete M

Hello,

1. At present the web service is not able to do this. However, in a future release we will be adding polygon support, where you can define and upload custom polygons to our servers.
2. With the polygon support you will have control over the drawing of those polygons.
3. Geocoding an address and displaying an icon at that location are things that the web service does now.
