can we search a category in the MapPoint? or only a place?

there are the limit of 500 results in MWS. i can accept the limitation. but i look up the API from the MSDN and found that there are not what option and only where option. that is, we can only search one place and not search one category(such as restaurant). i download a example from msdn and try to input a category, but failure. who can tell me whether the MapPoint provide to search one category and how do that? thanks very much!
