Canada Import Data

Is there any conceivable way to plot Canadian street addresses from an Excel file in Mappoint 2002?

The data mapping wizard does not search street addresses for Canada even though the find tool can find said street addresses.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Regional?

This might be because your Windows Regional settings are set to US. MapPoint defaults its searches to whichever country Windows is setup for. Check in the Windows Control Panel to see what country you're configured for.

Still no luck

Nope, changing the regional settings doesn't seem to affect this. It would appear that the smallest geography possible in Canada is the postal forward sortation area. If anyone has any other ideas to solve the above problem, I'd be interested to hear it. Also, I know this is a MapPoint forum, but since it appears that the software doesn't meet my needs, can anyone recommend an app that would?

Canadian street addresses

I solved the same problem ( I think). If you are importing from Excel, Make sure there is a field named country. All canadian addresses need to list Canada in the country field. This worked for me even when mapping both US and Canadian street addresses. Hope it works for you.
