I downloaded and installed the trial version of Pushpin Tool. The box popped up and said that it installed successfully. When I open MapPoint and go to Tools, COM Add-Ins, it's listed, but nothing shows up in the Tools menu as Pushpin Tool. Did I do something wrong? I'm very interested in the product, but wanted to test it out before buying.

When you go to Tools | Com Add-ins, is the check box checked?

Hmm, I don't know.. what version of MapPoint do you have? I've only tested it in MapPoint 2002.

I was trying it on MapPoint 2001. Does this mean the full version won't work on MP 2001 either?

Yes, that's correct.. I'm sure that's it. You need MapPoint 2002 for both the trial and the full version. MapPoint 2004 (when it comes out) will also work.

OK. I have another question. I've gathered from MS's website that in MP 2000 one could hide and unhide data sets, but that they removed that functionality from MP 2001 and on. Do you know where I could purchase a copy of MP 2000?????

I've seen them on eBay.. search for MapPoint.
