Change level of map detail!

The ability to show/hide state and city names would be great!

"Data map" is *almost* a clean enough display, but it still looks cluttered when showing office locations on a map...

Ability to show/hide is essential

I second Jake's request. The ability to turn on/off various items--cities, the title "United States", the Canadian provinces, state names--is essential.

Show/Hide City/State names (and highway data)

I cast my vote for this feature to be included as well. Especially with the terrain map. It is too cluttered with all this extra data. Thanks!

Programmatic control of the detail level -- less detail

I definitely need to get rid of the detail for my application. What I would like is to just display country boundry info and then chart my own pushpin locations, e.g., marking all commercial airports globally. Of course I am looking the use this functionality as a small part of another application. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Wish Lish - Detail

I agree!

PLEASE Microsoft! Drop the detail! WAY TOO MUCH clutter to be really effective!

In Agreement

Dido the request. Just because the goal is simplicity doesn't mean we should have to sacrifice some customization.

I agree, too!

I would like to be able to create a map with no towns at all. Or one with only the capitals, if I like. Especially if you're working with maps of a single European country (might be the same with a single state in the US version), too many towns are shown and distract attention from other information.

Regards,
Ute

Get the city names off the map!!

It is silly that you can turn off hotels, restaurants, and kinds of places, but you can not turn off the primary city names. It clutters the map and makes it confussing in a presentation. Please add the feature of turning the primary city names on or off. That should be a simple and much appreciated function of the program.

I agree with this completely. You should also be able to hide certain Pushpin data sets, while still displaying other Pushpin data sets.
