Complete adress, when using ShowFindDialog?

Hello from Germany,

I have a little problem, when opening the find-dialog of MapPoint. I want to search for an adress (country, ZIP, town, Street), but the parameter, which I have to fill require a String. It looks like the string is filled into the street-field in the find-dialog.

But maybe this is not enough and I want to check the whole adress.

Is there a chance, that I can send the complete adress to the find-dialog and that the adress is filled correct in the different fields?

Hi Jarun,

use FindAddressResults, it take separate arguments:

Code:
FindAddressResults(street, city, othercity, region, zip, country);

I almost use FindAddressResults. If the function finds one valid entry, it would be taken, but if there are more than one, I want to open the Search-Window of MapPoint, so the user can spezify, which entry is the right one.

If I use only FindAddressResult, I have to build the find-logic of the Search-Window for my own. I don't want to do that.

Do you understand where my problem is?

Hi Jarun,

Yes I understeand waht you want (and dont wand

I'm not sure if it is in, but there are some hidden features of mappoint, there was a thread about it short while ago, and I recall some 'find' things. Pleas do a search to see if it fit your needs.

On the other hand, if FindAddressResults returns multiple answers you can add them all in a listbox and let user choose from it. That's how I should do it.

Please let know if you find the answer in the articles.
