Belated congratulations to the Kansas City Roller Warriors for coming out on top in last weekends national shootout in Austin. Tough road to the championship, coming in seeded 4th in the western conference these ladies had to get past the Gotham Girls from NY on Saturday who were the #1 seed from the East, then beat the Carolina Rollergirls in the semis; a team on the rise who also impressed in the first round. In the finals against Seattle, KC used a great blend of speed and solid D to hold off Ratcity in a match that was still up for grabs right down to the last jam. Although Xcelerator was named MVP, it was Annie Maul that was their key to victory.
