We are thinking about interfacing our application to MP2k4 and have a couple of questions prior to development.

1. Can / How interface with native c, C++?

2. Is MP2k4 a ActiveX application?

3. Will MP2k4 work without MSC?

4. Is internet connectivity required?

Just briefly..:

1. Can interface with native c, C++?

Yes.

2. Is MP2k4 a ActiveX application?

Yes. This is one option, the other would be OLE Automation, it can do either.

3. Will MP2k4 work without MSC?

(MFC?) Yes.

4. Is internet connectivity required?

No, not for the desktop product.. note that there's also a MapPoint web service, this is a separate product.
