What are these supposed to do?

I am using Mappoint 2002 (I have reasons for not going to 04, not that that version has the latest maps anyway). After applying this update, I did not notice any change in my maps.

Actually it does not add any new road segments, it just tells about big construction projects on major highways for routing purposes.. if the route goes on a highway with contruction it gives a warning in the directions.

I thought that too.......then, I checked out an area of major construction on existing roads right by my house. Has been under construction for a year now. It routed me right through it (as the roads were prior to the beginning of the construction).
