Copying map data from Streets & Trips 2005 to Mappoint 2

I got the newest Streets and trips 2005 and it doesn't have more road on it than Mappoint. Is there some way to copy the map data over to Mappoint 2004.

Plus S&T 2005 has better center on and GPS support it seems.
I love the flipping of the map towards the direction of the car.

It would be great if I can have those feature in Mappoint

It does or does not?

There's an article on using AutoRoute 2003 data with MapPoint 2002, I think you could follow the same steps to see if the technique works for S&T 2005 / MapPoint 2004.

http://www.mp2kmag.com/a84--autorout....mappoint.html

I suspect it would not work, I think MS may have put some security in the code to prevent ms-geo datasets from work with the wrong software than it was intended.

Also, because S&T does not have all the boundary / territory mapping capability, even if you did get it to work somewhat, I think your MapPoint 2004 would be crippled with a lot of functionality broken.

Regarding desired new features in MapPoint 2005/6, there's a thread in the Wish list forum you might want to contribute to

Eric
