I am new to Mappoint - I have created custom territories on the US standad map (9 territories) - I have loaded our customer database into the data wizard (5 digit zipcodes onlyu) and now need to determine how many (and who) are located in each territoy.
It would seem to be a simple thing to do a data count by territory.

Does nayone have a simple way to do this.
I know nothing about programing.

Hi Bill,

Zoom out till you can see all of the US.
Using you mouse, draw a rectangle around your territories.
Right-click inside the rectangle and choose Export To Excel.

Thanks- I'll give that a try. How accurate does the rectangle have to be around the territory. Will it be smart enough to disregard any of the adjoining territory - the terrrtories are irregular shaped.

Hi Bill,

I haven't had much success trying to limit what will be included in the rect.
Just delete extra info from the spreadsheet.
If you need more precision, you'll have to create a com-addin that
inspects the datasets that comprise your territories and exports only
the data of the region of interest.
