County Maps for a Website

I've never used MapPoint (or any other such program). So before buying it, I wanted to find out if it can help me with a project I'm working on.

I'm setting up a website that, ideally, will allow internet users to easily identify the territorial jurisdiction of any county sheriff in the country. For example, I want users to be able to view a map of Cook County by clicking their mouse over the Chicago area of a national map.

Can MapPoint help me accomplish this task?

Thanks in advance!

Something like that is possible but you need to look at the MapPoint Webservice. It is not cheap but I can not find the pricing info on the MS website anymore.

There is a 45-day evaluation account available here:

No, I think you could use MapPoint with nested static maps.. though it would be some work to set up all the maps. According to the EULA I think you can post 1000 static maps per license.
