Hi,
I have downloaded the mappoint web service sdk and trying to run the sample for data upload. It contains a web reference to the customerdataservice which i couldnt update. After searching the net i found there is bug/issue with version 4.5 and the only work around is to create a proxy for that web service using wsdl.exe utility of the VS command line.


D:\Program Files\Visual Studio 2005\VC>wsdl https://mappoint-cds.live.com/Custom
erData-30/CustomerDataService.asmx/wsdl /language:vb /usernamexxx /passwordxxxxx /out:myproxy.vb

But the above command throws an HTTp:407 error.

Can someone help regarding this?

ok. forget the above issue i some how managed to add web reference for https://mappoint-cds.live.com/Custom...taService.wsdl and built the solution for DataUploadVb sample.

Now when i try to run the DataUploadVB.exe utility it says "The remote server returned an error: (407) Proxy Authentication Required.Upload job has failed"

And i have one more question.

What are the differences between
staging:http://service.mappoint.net/standard-30/mappoint.wsdl
Production: http://staging.mappoint.net/standard-30/mappoint.wsdl and
CustomerDataService: https://mappoint-cds.live.com/CustomerData-30/CustomerDataService.wsdl

I am a novice and someone please explain.
