I'm trying to get custom icons to work.

I've successfully uploaded 30-odd icons. On that "successful job completion" page I got after the upload, it gives me a Data Source ID value of 1234 or whatever--a 4-digit number.

I'm assuming this is what I provide as the Pushpin.IconDataSource value. However, when I do so, and try to use any of these new icons, I get this error in ASP.NET:

Either the specified data source does not exist, or your subscription does not allow you access. For information on upgrading your subscription, contact your MapPoint .NET representative.
============

Anyone have an idea on this? What the heck am I supposed to provide as my Pushpin.IconDataSource value?

Surely, surely there's someone out there who has uploaded and used custom icons!

When I use my custom icons, I specify the source like this:

objPushpin.IconDataSource = "MyAccountName.MyAccountNumber"

For instance: "Microsoft.1234"

Where your account name and number was given to you in the email from the MapPoint account team, where all your codes and such were sent.

It can take a little while for uploaded icons to become available on all the servers...so after you've performed an icon upload, take a shower or write a new compiler or something. Anything to waste about 20-40 minutes of time before you attempt to reference the new/changed icon.
