I have a client that requires that streams and waterbodies are viewable when zoomed into a map-- but Map Point's intelligent system for selecting the best available data (BAD) selects data without stream coverage for nonurban areas in the U.S.

Is there a way to control the view so that only the small scale data is visible when zoomed in so that MapPoint only uses the small scale data layers rather than the more accurate, but less inclusive large scale data ?

I realize that the data would not be as accurate.

Try a different map style, not sure if any of them have exactly what you want but each is a little different in what they display at different levels.
