Mr. Langdon viewed the world as symbols. This created a unique point of view for him. Now that you have read The Da Vinci Code are you seeing the world in a different way?
Did the book change any of your ideas about faith? History? Religion?
el: please post your e-mail and i'll answer personally to your question.
Yes indeed. Can we discuss about it?
I'm new to the Di Vinci Code. I heard about it not to long ago and was very interested. Actually, I heard about the book "Cracking the Da Vinci Code" by Simon Cox, in passing and bought it a few days ago.
It wasn't until I read the first few pages that I realized that this book would not be easy to understand, unless I read the "Da Vinci Code" by Dan Brown, first! It was a "duh" moment and I apologize!!
I finally got the book last night and haven't been able to put it down, well, hardly, anyway.
I'm not sure how much I'd be able to add to the discussion, but I wouldn't mind being a part of it.
I've always felt that there's a truth out there that we haven't been told. :O) :O) D
I've never read it but I've heard about it.
I've always been taught that Jesus didn't die on the cross and that he had taken some sort of chloroform to render him unconcious. He actually died in Jerusalem around about 73ad. His descendents live on. He was not the son of god but the son of man. He descended from a long line of people who originated from Mars. They mindled with the Egyptian way of life before moving on. Jesus was a Jew but not in the way Judaism is today.
Hi, Arcadia. I just read your reply and in all honesty, I don't know what to say!! Please, don't take that as a negative, because it wasn't meant that way. It's just that I've never met anyone that believe what you believe, let alone, was taught it.
I guess the only thing to do at this point is to expalin what I believe and what I was taught, but not as a debate on whose beliefs are right and whose are wrong. Just to let you know where I'm coming from.
I was raised Catholic and although I'm not a practicing Catholic, and haven't been for many years, I feel that's where the foundation of my beliefs stem from. I feel like I spent most of my life defending the catholic beliefs and the differences with other religions. I understood that other religions could find things a little strange, but I just figured, you'd have to be raised in it to understand it. I haven't always agree with the catholic teachings. But then again, I have a hard time with any organized religion, not just the Catholic's. I don't believe that I need a religion, any religion, telling me what to believe and what not to believe.
The scandles in the church as of late, have really disappointed and angered me. What was done is indefencible. I need to say that I don't believe all, catholic churches, all priests, all etc., are in this catagorie. Those that are, ruined it for the rest.
To go into all my beliefs, those that were formed as a child raised catholic and those that I've aquired as an adult, would be to numerous to list. I can say this. I believe there is a GOD, I believe that Jesus was the son of GOD, unless proven differently. I also believe that what is being taught by religions is not the whole truth. My beliefs on this isn't new or since the scandles of the church. I've felt this for along time. Something is missing and I guess I've been on the search for it. :O) :O) D P.S. If I have offended you or anyone else, that was not my intention.
MARS? GOOD GOD, ARE YOU A MISERABLE HUMAN BEING OR WHAT? THERE ARE CERTAINLY A NUMBER OF REDICULOUS THINGS WE ENCOUNTER DAY IN AND DAY OUT, BUT THIS HAS TO BE THE CRAZIEST I HAVE EVER HEARD. I CAN ONLY SAY YOUR SOUL IS LONLY AND LOST AND BAD SPIRITS RULE YOUR BEING. SORRY SO SAD FOR YOU. FIND GOD, FIND PRINCIPAL AND FOR CRYING OUT LOUD FIND SOME DIGNITY. WE DON'T SEE THE AIR WE BREATHE, BUT WE SURE BREATHE IT!
i just started reading it
