good evening, i was wondering if i could possible ask your forum for help.

i'm a user on another forum, strangle it look just like this one, you must be using vbulliten too.

anyway....

i was thinking about starting a online map, where users could add a pishpin for their location, and also pushpins for local garages they have found usefull. (yes, its a car site)

i thought this would be a good idea as other users could see which other users were local to them, therfor encourage more members co come when we have meets.

but........... i'm finding it really hard to find a web based mapping system that would allow users to add more than one pin. frappr seems to work on a little trial i have run Frappr Maps - My Maps but users can only add one pin, thats it.

i see the windows live maps allowgh you to have collections, but then you have to share them, and its not kept all centurally an any new pin would have to have the collection then re shared, probably causing different threads of the pins and total chaos.

Google maps did let you place multible pins, and alough other users to add to them etc in a group, but alas they have stopped this.

what are your thoughts?


PS, its has to be web based else too much hassle for users. oh, and i'm not a forum admin, so i am unable to strip any data from the users records for a batch adding. how would you guys do it is you wanted a map thread where users could add their location

Well I dont know much about online map scripts. Maybe as well as posting on this forum you should search scripts on the internet. Also If you need more help than I suggest you post a thread on another section.
