Hi at all.

After i have solved the problem with the toolbars, another prob appears now.

After connecting to mappoint anything runs very well, but if i change the focus to the treeview on the same form and then resize this form, the OleContaíner will change it's size correctly but not the Mappoint Map in the container.

It doesn't matter what value i choose for the SizeMode property of the OleContainer.

Does anyone have the same problem?

I hope someone can help me.

I observe a similar problem when the server in the OleContainer gets de-/activated, which tends to happen on entry/exit of the control or when something else gets the focus!

The net effect is that the State goes from osUIActive to osRunning such that all the toolbars become invisiblein the process!

Does anyone have a way to address this such that the toolbars don't go away?

Hi i had this problem. Got round it by placing the ole container within a panel. The olecontainer must have align se to alClient. The panel must be alNone and must be resized in code or by using the anchors. The panel must be on the form, not within anything else. This stops the map resizing and the toolbars changing but you still get a pause when you loose focus and mappoint goes from using 20mb to about 100mb. Any ideas why it does that?

I hate to tell all of you.. but as far as I can tell... there is "NO" way around the problems you guys are having.

Honestly your best bet is to use the activex control (trust me... I've been through ALOT w/ that OLEcontainer).

If you do a search on the forums you will see a post I made on how to get the activex control to work with delphi.

Thats not right, we have selling our application for several months with no problem. If you build a simple project with the ole inside a panel with the aling set right it will work fine
