There is a brief description in Mappoint Help. I use MP Europe 2006 and there is an entry for each country on the Help menu eg “Great Britain Demographic Data” that gives a brief rundown on the variables included. It’s fairly top-level stuff and if you want to know the real detail behind the data you’d probably be best e-mailing the supplier of the data directly (eg I think Acxiom are the suppliers in Europe but I don’t know about the US).
