    DisplayDataMap more then 8 Symbols

    Hello,

I have an application which uses MapPoint 2004, I am programming in C# .net.
I want to display a great amount of pushpins in the map. Each pushpin is a serviceorder which has a status. Each status has a different symbol, there are 14 different statuses. All the serviceorders are in a DataTable(the datatable also contains the coordinates of the serviceorder).
In my first solution I used AddPushpin to place all the pushpins, but this was to slow.
Now I am exporting the datatable containing the serviceorders to a CSV file and then I use MapPoint method ImportData(...). After I have imported the data into a MapPoint DataSet I use the MapPoint method DisplayDataMap(...).

My problem is that I have 14 different statuses thus 14 different symbols.

If I am right, DisplayDataMap is limited to 8 different symbols.
    Am I right?
Does anybody have a solution for my problem?

    Thanks,

    E. van Dijk

DisplayDataMap does not do more than 8 unfortunately.

Can you split up your 14 status symbols into two categories - 7 and 7 or 6 and 8? Or maybe it would make more sense to do three or more categories

    4, 4, and 6
    5, 5, and 4,
    2, 4, and 8

    etc.

    Thank you Eric,

I can split it up, in fact I was already doing that. But I hoped there was another way, unfortunately there is not.
But is it also possible to split it up in 3, 3 and 8?

    Thanks,

    Elbert
