Has anyone used Mappoint to display Shipping routes. Does Mappoint offer any capability to import nautical data/raster data/nautical charts/port data to display shipping routes. Any comments will be of great use.

This is a tough one Rajee. I've wanted to address this area for years. In theory it is possible. Look at products like TerraViewer for MapPoint.

I'm told by their people that the files which give the imagery are geocoded tiff files. If you can figure out how to get these into MapPoint and have a source of the nautical charts (in this format =) the you're on the way to a solution.

As an aside - in Canada the Nautical Charts (the digital data) is controlled by one company under a licence from the government. There is no way in heck to get this data without huge licencing fees.
